Site Redesign for Beat

Project Overview

Beat is the UK’s leading charity supporting those affected by eating disorders and campaigning on their behalf.

Beat engaged the services of The Developer Society to replatform their site on Wagtail CMS, making it easier for the Beat team to update site content.

Interpreting the Brand

Prior to this project, Beat had refreshed their brand guidelines. As the designer on this project I needed to interpret these for a digital space. 

This included;
  • Brand guideline review

  • WCAG consideration

  • Moodboard

  • 2 creative routes

  • 1 final creative direction

Blocks for Wagtail

As a content review would follow this project, the focus of design work was on creating a flexible set of content blocks the Beat team could use to build their own pages with.

Information Architecture

We proposed a new site map and tested 3 user flows.

Testing and Feedback

The test was an interactive whiteboard session where we gathered feedback from service users by walking them through 3 key user flows.
